Still going with the outdated view that we all came from Africa. Lol. I see that super racist. We based that view on the facted they was still in the Stone Age when we had s The starts of mass production and firearms and sailing technology.

Graham Hancock isn't a scientist. He's said that himself multiple times. He's a journalist and journalist don't have the burden of proof Scientist do. Let him go challenge the establishment in a debate about it. I've never read his books and I'm of the opinion that documentaries on Netflix are just another form of entertainment. That being said.. Honest I love your documentaries I've learned alot about prehistory. Peace dude.

Unrelated to this video, could you comment on where geographically humans survived during the genetic bottleneck. This is a fascinating topic to me. Were there really only 1,200 people left??? Did it hasten our development? Was southeast asia hit the worst? So many questions!!!

The needle is over rated. You can make a substitute using a stick, bark or othe stiff length threading through a premade hole. I just am not sure that as a marker that it is solid.

No one seems to know just how long "Anatomically Modern Humans" have been around. Dates run from at least 100,000 years to over 300,000 years. I wish we knew for sure. Because there were "Findings" a while back that "claimed" to have dated these AMH to as early as 2 million years ago !!!

The problem with discussing morals when talking about animals, is that morals only exist and make any sense for gregarious species, as they are simply the behaviours that allow separate individuals to live co-operatively, and they mostly have to do with inter-individual trust. Cannibalism is "wrong" because it violates the social pact, and makes it real hard to trust each other if you are worried your neighbour might see you or your cherished family members, dead or alive, as food. there are cultural morals that go beyond the morals needed to live in co-operative groups, ones associated with maintaining hierarchies and certain social structures.. these ones can include morals surrounding sexuality, certain types of clothing, who you have relationships with, or what type of career path you choose... these would be cultural morals... But not being a cannibal, I would argue, is a fundamental moral required for any form of group living.... maybe you could get around it through ritual, or by only consuming outgroup individuals, but i think those would be examples of cultural morals overriding fundamental morals... which they do a surprising amount of the time... just look at how often people will kill their neighbors in the name of their religion, or how a parent will kill their child for bringing "dishonour" to the family.

When people tell me to find the next evolutionary creature like find one and then it's next evolutionary phase to try to prove evolution is real. This is what people ask me sometimes .. how come they don't have the next link? I always just say listen. Look at your child. They're slightly more evolved than you, but the reason you don't see the exact next step is because it's over thousands of years tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands millions of years. But technically every generation is the next step towards whatever that creature is evolving towards and it's always based on the environment whether food and competition
